This is a pretty cool little soldering iron!
These are designed to use a spare laptop power supply, 12-24volt. The amount of power these will output depends on the power supply but they're more than capable for the kind of work we do here in the office.
I've used USB powered irons in the past and they were always underpowered. Not the case with these.
Take a look on youtube for other reviews, TS100 is the model.
I've seen people make XT30 adaptors for these so you can use hobby RC batteries to power it away from your bench. That'll be next on my list of things to do.
Overall, I like it! You don't get the tip choices you do on a full size soldering station but for console mods needing a fine tip, this is my go-to. It's open source too, if that's something that is important to you.
