I'm building a more 'modern' flash cart for the GB. The question is, would you prefer it USB like a Drag'n'Derp? or SD card based like an Everdrive?
SRAM will be 128k to satisfy the LSDJ folk, what is the maximum ROM size you would like it to support?
4Mbytes is the most cost effictive, this would cover 99% of GB/GBC games.
The cart price is targeted at $50 but hopefully strong support will bring the price down.
Let me know your thoughts!
I’m going to say SD as another addition to the SD-supporting voice (only because I saw what people were saying here.)
I’m gonna agree with SD. Only reason being is most the stuff I already use is in SD format.
Include RTC support and you will have a day one buyer :D
Also, Flash Cart please. Much more convenient then USB.
SD.
Easy to use, no driver issues, only one cartridge necessary with extra RAM modules readily available.
Currently, I am able to access the save data on my 64 mb smart card cart only with Android, because Windows 10 refuses to play nice with custom drivers. With an SD card, no custom drivers are required. So I think SD is much better if it means you’ll be able to get your LSDJ saves on and off the device easier.
